About 250 customers in Dunwoody may lose service during water main repairs Saturday

DeKalb County Watershed Department officials said that during the repairs on Saturday about 250 customers in Dunwoody may lose water service.

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- DeKalb County Watershed Department officials said about 250 customers in Dunwoody may lose water service during the day on Saturday.

Crews in Dunwoody were working Saturday morning to repair a 6-inch water main along Chamblee Dunwoody Road near its intersection with Dunwoody Knoll Road.

According to police, the southbound lanes of Chamblee Dunwoody Road have been blocked in that location while crews work to repair the break.

DeKalb County Watershed Department officials said that during the repairs on Saturday about 250 customers in Dunwoody may lose water service.

Motorists in the area are advised to take alternate routes to avoid the repair work. According to DeKalb County Communications Manager Andrew Cauthen, the repair work is anticipated to run through 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Watershed officials said that customers may not lose their service for the full duration of the repairs, but they should be prepared for intermittent outages.
