EAST POINT, Ga. - A man who opened fire at a crowd of people outside of a sports bar has been arrested.

Detective Ebony Johnson with East Point Police said around 2:30 Wednesday morning, 38-year-old Ibrahim Oladunni was kicked out of The U Bar located at 3515 Camp Creek Pkwy.

Police said as he left the bar at a high rate of speed, he fired his weapon at the crowd. No one was injured. He eventually lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree and overturned.

When police arrived on scene, the man refused to follow verbal commands to drop his weapon, East Point police detective Ebony Johnson said. An officer fired one round at the man, who then dropped his gun. The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.

He was released Wednesday afternoon and was taken into police custody. He is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and procession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Johnson said additional charges were pending.
