ATLANTA -- A Canadian man who allegedly flew to Atlanta to have sex with a minor was intercepted and arrested during his journey, the FBI says.

On Friday, the FBI says Yves Joseph Legault, 53, was arrested by agents soon after his flight from Toronto, Canada landed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Authorities say the Ontario man had been communicating online with a minor in order to have sex with the child and flew to Atlanta for that exact purpose.

Legault now faces several federal charges related to attempted coercion and enticement and traveling with intent to engage in sexual conduct.
