ATLANTA -- The FBI is searching for a man responsible for at least four bank robberies. They've connected the crimes by his choice of hat.

David J. LeValley, Special Agent in Charge at FBI Atlanta Field Office, issued the request for public assistance on Tuesday afternoon.

LeValley said the wanted man has hit four Wells Fargo bank branches, three in Atlanta and another in Jacksonville:

  • 12/09/16: Wells Fargo on Pharr Road, investigated by Atlanta Police
  • 12/24/16: Wells Fargo on Roswell Road, investigated by Sandy Springs Police
  • 12/29/16: Wells Fargo on Atlantic Blvd, investigated by Jacksonville, FL Sheriff's Office
  • 4/11/17: Wells Fargo on Peachtree Rd, investigated by Atlanta Police

He passed a demand note to the teller in each of the robberies. He's described as a black man with a slim build. He's 5'5" -5'7" and appears to wear the a Nike baseball hat in every robbery.

Wells Fargo is offering a $5,000 reward. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-8477.
