Two people were killed, one of them a one-year-old child, in a three-car accident late Tuesday afternoon in Marietta.

Police said the accident happened on Windy Hill Road near Jean Place and the Callaway Road bridge, when Odyssey Abdur-Raheem, 32, of Gainesville, lost control of her Nissan Altima due to wet road conditions and crossed into oncoming traffic.

Her car was then struck by a Ford F-150, which was then struck by a Dodge Durango SUV. That vehicle was then struck by a Hyundai Genesis. All of the vehicle involved came to a stop in the middle of Windy Hill Road.

Abdur-Raheem was pronounced dead on the scene, along with an unidentified one-year-old male who was in the Nissan. Two girls, ages 7 and 9, were also in the car and taken to a local hospital for observation.

All of the other drivers and passengers involved in the accident either suffered non-life-threatening injuries or did not require medical treatment at the scene.

No charges are expected to be filed by police.
