DUNWOODY, Ga. - Funeral arrangements have been set for a Dunwoody High School student who died while on Spring Break in Tampa.

The school's basketball coach said Phineas Haq died from injuries he received after a fall while running last week. Haq was a member of the school's cross-country team.

Julie Hensley was one of his teammates. She described Haq as the backbone of the team. "He was probably the most dedicated guy on our cross-country team. He was always after practice running more laps, trying to go the extra mile," said Hensley.

A memorial service is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. The church's Youth Minister Andrew Chappell said Haq always encouraged his friends on the team, at school and in church.

"He was the student everybody wanted to teach. He was the athlete everyone wanted to coach.  For me, he was the youth anybody would want to mentor.  And he was the friend you always wanted by your side,"  Chappell said.

In celebration of Haq's life, Minister Chappell is asking people to display blue ribbons.
