ROCKDALE, Ga. -- Authorities said guns and drugs were found in a search of a Rockdale County home on Friday.

Officials with the Rockdale County Vice Narcotics Unit arrested John David Gray after a lengthy investigation.

According to officials on Oct. 14, investigators began monitoring a known residence of Gray; watching as Gray loaded several containers and boxes into his vehicle.

Officials said they continued monitoring Gray until he was stopped for a traffic violation by a Rockdale County K-9 unit. A search of the vehicle ensued and approximately 9 ounces of methamphetamine and 4 ounces of prescription medication were seized, according to officials.

After completing the traffic stop, Investigators sought and then executed a search warrant at the same residence investigators had seen Gray.

Officials said, during the search they discovered several guns including; a sawed-off shotgun, a SKS assault rifle, and 2 .380 handguns. A small amount of marijuana was seized with the guns, officials said.

According to officials, they also seized scales, a money counter, and other drug-related objects.

Officials said, Gray will face charges related to narcotics and weapons violations.
