JOHNS CREEK -- Police have released the names of two men charged with attacking two women inside a Johns Creek home.

Capt. Chris Byers said Kenneth Hayes and Andraus Betts still had stolen items in their possession when they were arrested.

According to police, the two armed men entered a home on Chelsen Wood Drive Tuesday evening where a female homeowner and a home murse were inside. The two demanded jewelry, money and a safe from the women. Police say surveillance video clearly shows the two stealing cars outside the home on the day of the home invasion.

Police say the suspects searched the home for more than 40 minutes, and at some point struck both women in the heads with their guns.

11Alive's SkyTracker was over the scene, where while detectives conducted their investigation.

Investigators say the two fled the scene in a Mercedes SUV and a Mercedes sedan. 11Alive's Duffie Dixon said that one of the vehicles was later found abandoned down the street.

A short time later, within the Atlanta city limits, Atlanta Police officers got behind a white colored Mercedes sedan they identified as the other stolen car. When the car came to a stop on Springdale Road, officers surrounded the car and placed Hayes and Betts under arrest.

A Ruger SR9 gun was found inside the car. Police believe it may have been the weapon used in the home invasion.

On Wednesday, police conducted a photo line-up with the victims before releasing their names and mug shots.
