An accident between a motorcyclist and a semi-truck has left one dead, authorities confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for the Cobb County police department, the accident happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Vaughn Road. That's where 23-year-old Aldo Lefebre of Acworth was headed north on Cobb Parkway on his motorcycle when a semi-truck with a trailer in tow turned into his path.
Lefebre slammed into the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. The truck driver, Alexis Arias of Buford, Georgia, was not hurt.
At this time, it's not clear if charges will be filed. Cobb County police have brought out their Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) to investigate.
