The Clayton County Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place at 2046 Knight Court, College Park, Ga., Sunday night.
9-1-1 received reports of gunshots fired in the 2000 block of Knight Court at 10:21 p.m. At 11:29 p.m., additional calls were made to 9-1-1 of a suspicious car with a male subject inside in the same vicinity.
When officers arrived to the location, they found a 35-year-old male, identified as Stanley Smylie of Riverdale, Ga., deceased behind the wheel of the car, which was still running.
He died from an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives canvassed the area to get more information about the incident and searched for potential witnesses. No suspects have been identified at this time.
