CARTERSVILLE - A man is being treated at a hospital after a car landed on his chest.

According to Bartow County EMS, the male victim was attempting to load a vintage car onto a trailer Thursday morning around 9 a.m. outside the Knights Inn located at 420 E. Church St.

The car was off center and the man began jacking up the rear end of the vehicle in an attempt to straighten it. At some point, the car fell of the jack and landed on the man’s chest.

Bartow County EMS was called and responded.

The unidentified man only complained of difficulty breathing. He was conscious and alert when EMS arrived.

He was taken to Cartersville Medical Center to be checked out for injuries.
