A 30-year-old man was killed late Wednesday night after a hit and run on I-20.
The incident happened around 10:10 pm after the man, identified only as a 30-year-old male, was involved in a single-vehicle collision near mile marker 43 on I-20 west.
Witnesses told police the man got out of his vehicle and then ran into the center of the roadway and was struck by a box van, which then fled the scene.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the single-vehicle accident happened when the man failed to stay in his lane and struck a guardrail.
