Body found in the search for missing Locust Grove husband

His wife said she'll "miss him until my last breath"

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. — A body has been found in the search for a missing husband.

Timothy Osborne, 58, has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Henry County Police Department said they got a call around noon on Monday that a body was found in the water but they have not confirmed that it is Osborne.

Osborne's wife Kelly spoke with 11Alive Monday morning while she was out searching for him.

"We're scared to death for him and we're doing everything we can to find him," she said.

Monday there was a team of people searching for him along the a creek near Tussahaw Reservoir. According to the Henry Herald, searchers also discovered his blue tennis shoe on the shore of the Tussahaw Reservoir near his house.

Kelly said they believed he was walking in the woods with one shoe because the other was found by searchers. She said Sunday night they made a discovery that gave her hope.

"There's a footprint down there that's got a shoe and a foot. Right under this bridge right there....that gave me a lot of hope. That's why we're out here today," she said.

Osborne was last seen at his Locust Grove home on Feb. 6. Family members said he wandered off from his home on Peeksville Road while his Kellywas in the shower. When she came back, Osborne was gone.

She described him as the love of her life.

"He's the love of my life. I can't live without him," she said.

After learning that a body was found in the water near where he was last seen, Kelly posted on Facebook that she "lost my best friend,soul mate, husband and heart walking outside of my body today."

She thanked everyone for their help searching and for the support through what she described as a nightmare. 

Meanwhile, police are still working to confirm that the body found was Osborne's. 

Police said that Osborne also went missing back in June of 2018 while he was driving on I-285 Westbound. According to the incident report, he was with another relative, Robert Peppers, who purchased a pickup truck. Peppers said he figured Osborne would be safe since he was was following him back to his home. Peppers told police that everything was fine until they hit heavy traffic near the spaghetti junction. Osborne was found the next day in Gwinnett County.

Osborne has been married to his wife, Kelly Osborne since the two were 18 years old.
