A body found in a retention pond has been identified as a missing person from Dunwoody.
Dekalb County Medical Examiner’s Office used dental records to identify the body at Mark Nucera, 37.
Dunwoody Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of Kingsland Drive on Saturday, February 10, regarding a deceased person in the pond behind the home.
Police said Nucera left his home on December 14, 2017, on foot and his family had not heard from him since.
Police found his wallet and cell phone at his resident. Family told police Nucera had been under stress over financial issues.
The Dekalb County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the cause and manner of death, however foul play is not suspected.
