LAGRANGE, Ga. -- A fatal home invasion left a community reeling. A mother and her son were shot when four masked men forced their way into the Edgewood Ave home in the early morning hours of Nov. 26.

They were taken to the hospital where the adult son, Darius Tucker, died. The mom, Adrian Tucker, survived the shooting but was left heartbroken and hungry for answers.

Two days after the shooting, police secured arrest warrants for Jarvis D Duncan, age 35 of Marietta, Georgia, Michael Lee Fair, age 37 of Marietta, Georgia, and Gerald Jerome Florence, age 34, of Powder Springs Georgia, and Lewis Antonio Shells, age 35, of LaGrange, Georgia charging them with Murder and other felony offenses.

LaGrange police officers arrested three suspects but Florence remains on the run. There could also be another suspect who has not been identified.

After the arrests, Tucker visited to police department to thank the detective who is working on their case. She's still recovering but shared her appreciation for the work Detective Jeremy Jones and the LPD team is doing. She posted a picture of the interaction on Facebook "My heart is so heavy"

LaGrange police shared the picture saying "Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to heal and recover from the deep wounds left by this tragic incident,"

The post has been shared hundreds of times and garnered more than a thousand reactions in the small community.
