ATLANTA - A woman was hit and killed on Interstate 85 going northbound on the ramp to exit 166 (Langford Parkway).
Captain Andrew Senzer with Atlanta Police said the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday.
According to two motorists, they had pulled over onto the side of the road after they saw someone having difficulty walking on the interstate, after which the victim collapsed.
So far, police have no suspects and have no idea of what kind of car may have hit the individual.
"We don't know why the pedestrian was on the roadway but right now we're just trying to reconstruct the scene," said Captain Senzer.
