LAGRANGE, Ga. — One person died in a house fire in LaGrange early Friday morning. LaGrange Fire said crews arrived at the home on Cherry Street at 12:32 a.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames.
Two people were inside the home, which had started to collapse under intense heat, when firefighters arrived. One person made it out with minor injuries. The other person was found by firefighters inside the home, according to a release.
The victim’s name is being withheld until their family can be contacted, according to LaGrange Fire.
The fire was under control by 2:32 a.m. and the cause is still under investigation.
