Police can now shoot a GPS tracking device at cars

With the press of a button in the patrol car or remote device on an officers hip, Canton Police can now shoot a GPS tracking device at a suspect's car.  

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- The Canton Police Department use GPS tracking to catch car chase suspects.

Car chases are dangerous for everyone and many departments have no chase policies.

Canton Police are attempting to solve the problem safely.

With the press of a button in the patrol car or remote device on an officers hip, Canton Police can now shoot a GPS tracking device at a suspect's car.

The device is another way to prevent high-speed police chases and catch suspects.

The StarChase GPS tracking device costs around $5,000 per device.
