JACKSON COUNTY, GA - Authorities with the local school have said a teenage girl missing since Tuesday afternoon has been located safe and sound.

Braselton Police have not confirmed that 15-year-old Maria Grace Leggiero has been located yet. Police said she went missing at about 4 p.m., after getting into a disagreement with her mother when arriving home from school, according to Lou Solis, assistant police chief with Braselton Police. The teen's mother last saw her in the backyard with a soccer ball.

Family members met at the teen's school, Lanier Christian Academy, on Wednesday morning to search for her.

Leggiero was last seen wearing carrying a green book bag and a pink drawstring bag with her name on it. She wears black glasses.
