ATLANTA -- Police are looking for leads after a man was shot to death on Metropolitan Parkway, Sunday evening.
Atlanta officers arrived at the scene in the 1900 block of the highway around 11:25 p.m. where they found 39-year-old Kenard Barnette in a parking lot with several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but ultimately died of his injuries.
Witnesses said Barnette was a passenger in a dark sedan - possibly a Chevrolet or Genesis - when an argument erupted. Apparently, the driver pulled out a gun and began firing at the victim and another man who ran from the scene.

The driver then sped away and police don't have any information, at least so far, of the suspect's identity.
However, they do have video and photos they hope will lead them to an arrest with help from the public. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Tipsters are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
