Suspect on the run after fatal shooting at gas station

Police believe a verbal confrontation lead to the shooting.

ATLANTA - Police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man at a Chevron gas station located on the 2500 block of Bouldercrest Road at 1 a.m. on Thursday.

When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest. The victim's brother was kneeling over him attempting to administer CPR.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Andricus Harris.

When asked what happened, the brother said that he and his brother went to the gas station to put air in their tires.

While he sat in the passenger seat, the victim exited the car and started speaking with the suspect.

The victim proceeded to go inside the store, where the suspect followed. The brother then stated he heard gunshots a few moments later. He went inside the store to investigate what happened and found his brother lying on the ground.

The shooter then fled the scene in a black vehicle, possibly a Toyota. He is described as being a black male with a medium build, wearing a red cap, a white Adidas T-shirt and red and white Adidas pants.

This incident is still being investigated.
