HARALSON COUNTY, Ga – One person was flown to an Atlanta hospital late Monday afternoon and others injured when a train collided with a car near the Georgia-Alabama state line.
According to Haralson County Fire Chief Brian Walker, no one was critically injured in the crash.
Walker said a Ford Fusion traveling on Liner Road attempted to beat a train at a railroad crossing. The train struck the car in the rear corner, causing the car to rotate and travel off the roadway.
The two front occupants were transported by ground to Floyd Medical Center, while the rear passenger was transported by air to Kennestone Medical Center.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
