BOWDON, Ga. -- Two elderly people were killed Thursday morning in a wrong-way accident on Georgia Highway 166 in Carroll County.
According to police, one vehicle was traveling east on the wrong side of the road. A second vehicle struck the wrong-way vehicle head on, and then struck a third vehicle.
Both Oddie McDaniel Lewis, 69, of Carrollton, and Linda Gilley Word, 74, of Bowdon, were killed in the crash.
Wesleyan Dothard, 27, of Carrollton, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
