Two more arrests made in vandalized veterans' memorial case

Rockdale County Sheriff's Office have arrested an additional two people in connection with the vandalized veterans' memorial.

ROCKDALE, Co., Ga. - Two additional arrests have been made in connection to the vandalized veterans' memorial case that took place back in December of 2017.

On January 3, 2018, Rockdale County Sheriff arrested Keisha Martin Black of Coweta County in connection to the suspected theft and vandalism of the Walk of Heroes Veterans Memorial.

In addition to this arrest, on Monday, January 8, RCSO met with Union City Police who arrested Bryan Sears for the same case.

These two arrests come after RCSO arrested Wendell Tolbert on Wednesday, January 3, after tips led police to Tolbert as a person of interest.

There is still a warrant out for the arrest of the remaining suspect at this time.

“This case has taken us to Union City, Coweta County, and Meriweather County,” Sheriff Eric J. Levett said. “We want to make sure that we send this message to the remaining suspect. This was a terrible crime. This was disrespectful to many men and women who sacrifice their lives each and every day and have sacrificed their lives in the past for our country. We're not going to tolerate this in Rockdale County, we're coming after you and we will find you.”
