Man dead in early morning Fairburn shooting

Fairburn police are seeking at least two suspects in an early Friday morning shooting.

FAIRBURN, Ga. -- On Friday, Fairburn Police arrested four men in connection with Thursday night's deadly shooting at the Hardee's on Senoia Road (GA 74) in Fairburn.

The victim, 22-year-old Clayton Smith, was shot to death at about 11 p.m. Investigators said Smith had contacted someone to sell drugs in the parking lot at the Hardee's restaurant, which was closed at the time. A dispute between the victim and the suspects took place which ended with an exchange of gunfire. 

The suspects were charged as follows:

Quintavius Hawkins, 20, charged with murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; Mountavius Holt, 20, charged with murder and armed robbery; Rontavius Holt, 18, charged with murder and armed robbery; Labrinzo Matthews, 21, charged with murder and armed robbery.

All four suspects were booked into the Fulton County Jail. The suspected murder weapon was found at the scene of the crime, police said. One of the suspects was hurt in the exchange of gunfire.
