GRANTVILLE, Ga. -- You'll find all sorts of things for sale on Craigslist and eBay. But a listing for several buildings in downtown Grantville truly surprised us.

"Is the town of Grantville for sale?" asked 11 Alive's Ryan Kruger.

"Well downtown is," said former Mayor Jim Sells.

Nine buildings in downtown Grantville are for sale. Sells bought the properties out of foreclosure during the recession. But now, he's ready to hand over the keys to someone with more experience owning commercial property.

"The hard work has been done," said Sells, referring to renovations. "We're looking for somebody to put it all into action."

Almost 25,000 square feet of usable space is available. Including retail, apartments and restaurants.

"I'd love to see a restaurant come here, if people would support it," said Leon Tyes who works with the Grantville Veterans Association downtown.

Grantville is a former textiles town. When the mills closed in the '70s and '80s many of the jobs and residents left. Now there's a new industry.

"Our main industry right now is walking dead tourists," Sells said.

The season three episode "Clear" was filmed downtown.

"We have people coming from all over the world because of the Walking Dead, that's paying the bills downtown."

So if you've got $680,000 in spare cash, downtown Grantville could be yours.
