More of metro Atlanta’s biggest school systems kick off a new year on Monday, and 11Alive Stormtrackers are advising that kids may need to take an umbrella or rain poncho.

With a moist, unstable airmass in place, there is a 60% rain chance for Monday through Thursday. Some of these storms could be real soakers so the threat for localized flooding will be high this week. Temperatures will hold in the mid 80s for the period.
