Wife accused in Forsyth Co. murder-suicide where kids were found alive

Deputies found the couple's young children safe inside the home.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office investigated a home with two dead adults inside on Monday morning, August 20, 2018.

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities found a couple dead, victims of a murder-suicide. Their two young children were left alive inside their northern Forsyth County home early Monday morning.

It happened at a home in the 5400 block of Memphis Street.

According to Corporal Doug Rainwater with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, at 3:45 a.m., Forsyth County deputies were dispatched to the home on a welfare check after a 911 call was received from a concerned friend. The friend said they had received a disturbing message from one of the people living at the home in the early morning hours of Monday.

When deputies arrived, they discovered the bodies of 50-year-old Adrian Brewster and his wife, 32-year-old Jackielyn Brewster. Both adults were dead. They also discovered two young children, both under the age of 10, inside the home. Both were safe. They have since been placed with relatives.

Investigators have determined that Jackielyn Brewster murdered her husband at some point over the weekend before taking her own life early Monday morning.

The Forsyth County Major Crimes Unit is continuing their investigation of the incident.
