Authorities arrested a woman who was allegedly selling drugs in Rabun County.

A joint effort between the Rabun Co. Sheriff's Office, Clayton Police Department and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) led to the arrest of Vonda Sue Hughs, 52, on April 5.

Officers arrived at Hughs home on Old Chechero Road in Clayton Co., Ga. According to officials, numerous complaints were made about Hughs selling illegal narcotics.

The complaints led to a two-week investigation. When investigators arrived at the home, they found approximately 8 oz. of marijuana and $4,000 derived from the sale of the drugs.

The estimated street value of the seizure was $2,400.

Hughs was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects.
