MARTA website visitors may have gotten a bit more than they bargained for on Monday when a problem inexplicably redirected to - a comedy page spoofing the major retailer.

According to spokesperson Stephany Fisher, MARTA's IT department took quick steps to remedy the issue once it was brought to their attention.

She said that they have been notifying their customers through their social media channels about the problem and they have been working to put a fix in place.

MARTA's IT department indicated that the fix may take a period of time to propagate throughout the remainder of the internet.

Fisher told 11Alive News there was no indication as to what could have caused the redirect.
