Mattie's Call issued for Jonesboro man with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia

Authorities say Jeffrey Simmons has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia and was thought to be traveling on foot without his medication.

JONESBORO, Ga. — Police have issued a Mattie's Call for a 36-year-old man who walked away from his home Sunday afternoon.

Clayton County Police said 36-year-old Jeffrey Simmons left his home in the 3800 block of Alderwoods Drive in Jonesboro around 1 p.m. March 3. After it was discovered that he was missing from his address, police issued the Mattie’s Call.

Authorities say Simmons has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia and was thought to be traveling on foot without his medication.

Simmons is described as a white male who is 6'1" tall, weighs 155 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Jeffrey was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black sweatpants.
