ATLANTA — Director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan are teaming up again for a movie that's personal to Atlanta.
Industry magazine, Variety reports the duo – who have previously worked together for "Fruitvale Station," Creed," and "Black Panther" – are reuniting to bring the story of the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal to the big screen in a new movie called "Wrong Answer."
The movie, based on a New Yorker piece from Rachel Aviv of the same name, focuses on the standardized test cheating scandal in the Atlanta Public Schools system.
According to Variety, Jordan will star as a math teacher who joined in the effort in order to keep his school from shutting down during the "No Child Left Behind" era. Coogler will direct the film while New Regency Productions and Brad Pitt's Plan B will both help produce the project as well. Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the script. Aviv will serve as a consultant.
