BAY COUNTY, Fla. -- The guest that refuses to leave can be a nuisance to say the least - especially during the holiday season. But police said a Florida woman who decided to speed up the process with her gun went too far.

NBC South Florida reports that 32-year-old Alana Annette Savel was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated battery with a firearm after shooting two house guests that she felt were becoming too loud.

A woman told police that she had gone to the suspect's home with a friend. However, the NBC station reports that Savell became upset that they had started drinking and were getting too loud. At that point, she wanted them gone.

That's when police said Savell got a handgun and started shooting at her guests' feet from the door.

The the female guest was hit in the legs and taken to an area hospital.

Apparently, Savell's boyfriend allegedly told her that if someone didn't leave after being told three times to do so, she should get the gun and fire into the ground - or at their legs if that didn't work.

Incidentally, NBC South Florida reports that the boyfriend was also hit in the leg.
