Urbach is one of seven Republicans seeking to become Georgia's next governor.
Marc Urbach

For the first time in eight years, Georgians will elect a new governor in 2018.

Seven Republicans and two Democrats are seeking to replace Gov. Nathan Deal, who cannot run for a third term. Between now and primary day May 22, 11Alive.com will be bringing you a series of Q&A’s with each candidate who answers our questionnaire.

Today's interview is with Marc Urbach. You can learn more about Urbach at his campaign website.

Also, look for more extensive coverage of this race and others until Election Day, Nov. 6, as Georgia Votes 2018.

1. What is the No. 1 challenge facing the state?

The number one challenge facing the state is the massive corruption in our government, the General Assembly!! As a statesman candidate for Governor the past eight months, I can tell you that we are dealing with a bunch of un-indicted felons. How so? They are well aware of and preventing citizens like me, Denise Caldon Sorkness and my attorney, from using the “Grand Jury” in criminal proceedings against government officials. Please see the Dunwoody Neighbor Newspaper article, on my website.

My legal petitions to use the grand jury in DeKalb County and the United States Magistrate Court for the Northern District of Georgia have been illegally denied. If my attorney and I get to the Grand Jury, we will “drain the swamp!!” Student college tuition is up 75% the past 10 years, whole programs cancelled and those “career politicians” and “fake-lying conservatives” say budget cuts. At Team Urbach, we say that is a LIE!! The budget is up from $15 billion to $26 billion. We have proof that “there are two sets of books that the Board of Regents uses.” “Career politicians” are giving our hard-earned money to their friends in the higher education. Team Urbach has massive amounts of “documented proof.”

2. If elected, how would you prioritize Atlanta’s needs compared to other cities and counties in Georgia?

As your Governor, I believe in working for ALL “people of Georgia."

I will not put the 4.5 million ahead of the 6.5, but the way I will prioritize the needs is to simply provide massive solutions to the massive problems. Example; Transportation: I will inspire our 4.5 million citizens with our great seal, “Wisdom, Justice, Moderation.” People should “moderate”; walk Tuesday and Thursday, for five to 35 minutes a day to a bus stop, then use MARTA or Team Urbach’s “Silver Bullet High Speed Monorail Transit System” to work, http://www.OTG-Inc.com (please see website) or, as your Governor, “I will get rid of MARTA and replace it with MERTA.” “Moving Everyone Rapidly Through Atlanta.”

Example, Education: As a former teacher, ‘we the people of Georgia” will have “local control of our schools!” Corrupt, Common Core is No More!! Crime: As governor and a leader, I will inspire citizens to “love their neighbor.” In summary; 4.5 million Georgians needs are the same as the other 6.5 million Georgians. The difference is that the 4.5 million are crammed in and getting restless. Governor Urbach will inspire all Georgians to get HH w/LR. “Healthy, Happy w/ Love & Respect!!

3. Your campaign is widely seen as under-funded. Realistically, what are your chances of winning?

Yes, my campaign is under-funded, as I have only accepted 12 checks from citizens. Team Urbach believes in Georgians and we believe that we can do all things through Christ Jesus. Our Father and the Holy Ghost help, too. Two months left. Hold onto your hats folks, it’s gonna be a Texas shoot-out, Georgia style, if ya’ll know what I mean. Citizens of Georgia, get your Bibles, we’re going to the Bible Zone!!
