Who was that moderating the White House Press Briefing Wednesday afternoon? Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary, and she serves as the number two in the White House Press Office behind Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
Generally not seen in the press briefings, she first showed up at the May 5 briefing, and once again on Wednesday, when Spicer was absent due to Naval Reserve duty.
Sanders was a founding partner of Little Rock-based consulting firm Second Street Strategies in 2016 prior to joining the Trump Administration. She was also vice president of Tallahassee-based management and political consulting firm Tsamoutales Strategies.
She is the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, and attended Ouachita Baptist University.
