This man is wanted in murder of postal worker

He's considered armed and dangerous.

DECATUR, Ga. -- Police have released the photo and name of a man wanted in the murder of a 22-year-old postal worker outside of a post office in Decatur.

Quantez D’Ante Tyre, 22, is wanted in the death of Tyrika Terrell.

According to police Tyre shot and killed Terrell as she waited outside of the post office on Wesley Chapel road Monday night.

Tyre fled the scene on foot toward Wesley Chapel Road.

Terrell's mother, Euginia Terrell, told 11Alive that Tyre was her estranged boyfriend and the father of their 6-month-old girl. She said he had made strange comments to her on the phone before the shooting Monday.

"He said, 'I’m sure you’re going to take good care of Kyrra, g-mama. You’re going to take good care of Kyrra. That is my baby girl,'" Euginia Terrell said.

Tyre is said to stand 5'8" and weighs around 160 pounds. He's considered armed and dangerous.
