11Alive's StormTrackers are looking out for storm damage after yesterday's severe weather ripped through metro Atlanta and parts of Georgia.

Thousands are waking up without power and are sharing their storm experience on social media.

9:19 a.m.

The National Weather service has crews out assessing damage. Survey teams just departed for South Fulton County and Haralson County, Ga. The NWS will give an updated confirmation between 3 and 4 this afternoon. So far, no tornadoes touchdowns have been confirmed.

6:38 a.m.

Bremen City Schools have canceled classes for Tuesday, March 20.

5:14 a.m.

Traffic lights are out all around the metro. Here is a list of just a few:

  • Peachtree at Deering Road
  • Holcomb Bridge at Old Alabama
  • Hollowell Pkwy at Hollywood Road
  • Northside Drive at I-75
  • Hwy 92 at South Fulton Pkwy (wires down)
  • Northside Drive at Peachtree Battle (closed)

3:12 a.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Wadley, Bartow and Moxley counties.

2:45 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 3:45 a.m. for Burke County.

1:24 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued until 2:15 a.m. for Butts, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Pike and Spalding Counties.

12:45 a.m.

Thunderstorm Warning issued for Butts, Jones, and Monroe counties until 1:15 a.m.

12:30 a.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Greene, Jasper, Morgan, and Putnam counties until 1:15 a.m.

Midnight

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Butts, Fayette, Henry, Jasper, Morgan, Newton, Rockdale, Spalding counties until 12:45 p.m.

11:50 p.m.

Georgia Power reported 244 active outages affecting 23,390 customers.

Heavy Flooding reported at Highway 5 and Douglas Boulevard in Douglasville, Georgia.

11:40 p.m.

Several roads are flooded in Cobb County, according to Cobb County Fire and Police. Flooding on I-75 SB a quarter mile from Exit 258 on the left-hand side. A tree is blocking the road on I-285 WB past Cobb Parkway and another on I-285 SB a half mile from West Paces Ferry. Crews are working to remove the trees.

Cobb County also reported multiple weather-related accidents.

11:35 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Butts, Clayton, DeKalb, Fayette, Henry, Newton, Rockdale, Spalding, and Walton counties until midnight.

11:30 a.m.

The Haralson County School District will be closed on March 20th, due to storm damage throughout the community that may make bus service impossible.

11:15 p.m.

Tornado Warning extended until 11:30 p.m. for Fulton County

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Henry counties until 11:45 p.m.

11 p.m.

Tornado Warning for Douglas and Fulton Counties until 11:30 p.m.

Flash Flood Warning issued for Carroll, Haralson, Paulding counties until 5 a.m.

10:55 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Douglas, Fulton, Carroll, Clayton, Fayette counties until 11:45 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Cobb County until 11:15 p.m.

10:40 p.m.

Tornado Warning expired for Haralson County

10:35 p.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Carroll, Douglas, Haralson counties until 11:15 p.m.

10:25 p.m.

Tornado Warning expires for Polk County

10:15 p.m.

Tornado Warning canceled for Floyd County and continues for Polk.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties until 11 p.m.

10:02 p.m.

A Tornado Warning is in effect for Haralson until 10:45 p.m.

9:44 p.m.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Floyd and Polk Counties.

9:37 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Floyd, Haralson and Polk counties until 10:15 p.m.

9:23 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Dade and Walker Counties.

9:08 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 48 counties and will remain in effect until 4 a.m.
