ATLANTA -- College football is back, and with it comes ticket scams.

The Chick-fil-A Kickoff sent a warning out about fraudulent tickets for this weekend's games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including Saturday's primetime game featuring No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Florida State. Georgia Tech and Tennessee play at the stadium on Monday.

"Due to the extremely high-demand for tickets for this year’s games, Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game event organizers advise fans to avoid purchasing tickets from second or third parties, especially in areas around Mercedes-Benz Stadium on game day," the game's spokesperson said.

Tickets sold directly from the university ticket offices, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, PrimeSport or the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl ticket office are secure and valid.

If fans have questions about the validity of their tickets, they can have the bar codes checked at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium ticket office located near Gate 1 after 4 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

If fans discover their tickets are fraudulent, they are encouraged to report it to the Atlanta Police Department.

Saturday's game is the second most expensive college football ticket this season, going for $966 apiece, second only to Georgia/Notre Dame at $1,585.
