D'Andre Swift is a Philly guy.

He hits people, gets hit, has a trainer, and lost to the heavyweight champ the last time they fought.

Swift works with a boxer's son.

With Nick Chubb and Sony Michel in the NFL, Swift and Elijah Holyfield carry the load for what they call "RB U.”

Darren Swift is D'andre's proud dad while his son embarrasses SEC defenses, but his trainer when he comes home.

“I don’t have to push him," Darren explained. "When he comes home, he tells me, ‘Dad, I’ll be at the gym at such-and-such a time.’”

After sealing the SEC Championship and losing to Alabama in the National Championship, Swift had groin surgery in the offseason.

But Darren insisted "He’s a lot stronger. He’s leaned out a lot. He’s definitely a lot faster.”

With the season coming to a close, Swift is finally healthy again, and it shows.

His moves make his home town proud. Which brings us back to the heavyweight champ, and the rematch.

“The community has stood behind D’Andre. Tremendously.”

While people chase his son, the trainer likes the underdog.

“I believe that they’ll be back in the national championship, and I believe that they’ll win it,” Darren said.

And Philly probably does too.
