President Trump arrives in Atlanta

Air Force One lands at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Ga. on Monday, January 8, 2018

President Donald Trump spent the early part of Monday afternoon at the American Farm Bureau Federation's annual convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. After that, Trump will head to Atlanta for the College Football National Championship.

Trump's Nashville speech touted the impact of the recently-enacted tax reform legislation on the nation's farmers and agricultural industry.

After the speech, Trump is expected to board Air Force One for the short trip to Atlanta.

The president's plane is expected to land at Dobbins ARB in Marietta shortly after 6 p.m., where his motorcade will whisk him off down Interstate 75 into downtown Atlanta.

According to a schedule released by the White House, Trump is expected to arrive at Mercedes Benz Stadium at about 6:45 p.m., well ahead of the 8 p.m. kickoff.

After the football game, the president will return to the White House.
