Former Cowboys, Patriots receiver Terry Glenn dies after crash

Former NFL wide receiver Terry Glenn died after a car crash Monday morning, the Dallas County medical examiner's office confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

Glenn, who spent 12 seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, was 43.

The medical examiner's office said it was unable to provide further details of Glenn's death.

An Ohio native and Ohio State product, Glenn was drafted by the Patriots in the first round in 1996 and was selected to the Pro Bowl three years later. He was traded to the Packers in 2002, then to the Cowboys one year later.

Glenn, who was released by the Cowboys in 2008, finished with 593 catches for 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns in his NFL career.
