NORCROSS, Ga. -- A top local basketball player officially made his decision on signing day, choosing the University of Georgia over several other schools.
Norcross basketball player Rayshaun Hammonds chose between several schools including UGA, Georgia Tech, Texas, Miami, Memphis and several others.
ESPN ranks Hammonds, power forward for the Norcross Blue Devils, at 38th among the ESPN 100 recruits and 12th in the region. That puts him at 4th most valuable player in the state according to the sports network.
Stats show Hammonds has 19 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 2 steals for the 2015-2016 season according to 247Sports.com.
