The Georgia Bulldogs fell to No. 7 in the College Football Playoff Committee's latest Top 25 rankings released Tuesday night.
After sitting at No. 1 for the Committee's first two rankings, the Bulldogs were blown out by the Auburn Tigers, who rose to No. 6.
The new top four is Alabama, Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma.
Miami surged after crushing Notre Dame, who was No. 3 going into Saturday. The loss by the Irish also hurt the Bulldogs because their victory over the Irish was one of their premier wins of the season. It was a win the committee said led to them ranking the Bulldogs No. 1 in the first rankings.
While the Bulldogs dropped out of the top four, they still have an opportunity to likely move back in if they win-out and win the SEC Championship in December. That game will either be against Alabama or Auburn.
