ATLANTA -- The architects behind the new Atlanta Falcons stadium have released more renderings of the project.

The new pictures showcase the exterior of the new stadium, as well as some aerial shots.

Crews broke ground on the $1 billion stadium last month. The retractable roof stadium is scheduled to open in March 2017, in time for the inaugural season of Atlanta's Major League Soccer team. The new stadium is being designed by 360 Architecture.

Earlier in the year, the team released several other renderings of the stadium.

The stadium isn't the only new one set to open in 2017. The Atlanta Braves are also scheduled to open their new stadium that year.
