Seahawks player arrested for drunken, disorderly conduct

Chamblee police arrested Seattle Seahawks player Malik McDowell for drunken and disorderly conduct while at SL Lounge located on the 4186 Buford Highway NE.

The incident report details the following chain of events as reported by the arresting officer.

At 2:21 a.m. on Sunday December 10, an officer working a security job at the SL Lounge saw two men having a verbal argument outside the establishment's front doors. The man who was yelling, later identified as McDowell, stated that the business took his money,

"I don't give a f***, ya'll took my f****ing money, ain't no pressure about no 600.00 dollars n**** I'm a millionaire."

The officer approached McDowell and told him to calm down or else he would have to arrest him for disturbing the peace. The head of security explained to the officer that McDowell believed that someone at the business took his money but it was explained to McDowell that money was never taken outside of the establishment.

"You pay when you get inside," Johnnie Valentine, the head of security, said.

Kevin Epps, McDowell's friend who was accompanying him during the incident, tried to calm him.

The officer approached McDowell again, when he yelled, "F*** that, them n***** got my money."

At that point, the club prompter, Rhino, came out of the lounge to explain to McDowell that no one had taken his money.

"You paid for parking only," Rhino said.

To which McDowell responded, "Bruh, yes the f*** I did, bruh. I know I'm drunk, but my n****, I'm not m*****f***ing stupid."

Epps tried to explain to McDowell that he never gave anyone money to enter the lounge.

After some discussion, a deal was agreed upon and both McDowell and his friend were allowed inside. However, a short moment later, both McDowell and Epps were being escorted back outside and began to argue with security again.

According to the incident report, a waitress had brought the suspect his alcohol after purchasing a table, he opened both bottles and poured them into a bucket. After he did so, he was asked to leave the lounge.

The officer then heard McDowell yelling as he exited the front doors,

"F*** all that, I want my money back. I'm not leaving without my money."

The officer then told McDowell that his behavior was becoming a disturbance, to which McDowell replied,

"F*** you b****, f*** you saying."

The officer then started to place McDowell in handcuffs but he resisted and a second officer had to step in to assist.

As McDowell was being escorted to the patrol car, he yelled,

"F*** both ya'll...I bet I get out, I got more money than ya'll. Ya'll ain't got enough money for me, p**** a** crackers, broke a** n****s."

The officer then revealed a taser after McDowell resisted being put inside the cruiser. When he saw the taser, he said, "Oh, you gone shoot me? You a p**** for real."

He then got inside the cruiser with no incident.

He was taken into custody and posted bond that same morning. His bond was $325.00.
