Best. Night. Ever.

Did you miss it?

Were you asleep as Team USA made history?

It happened pretty late on the east coast. But it was worth staying up to watch history that was 20 years in the making.

Okay, okay, I'll hurry up and cut to the chase. Here's what you missed from the best night for Team USA in PyeongChang.

1) USA beats Canada in shootout

Three periods weren't enough. Neither was a 20-minute overtime. Neither were the five shootout rounds. It took six rounds for Team USA to beat Canada and win its first gold medal in women's hockey since 1980. It also fell on the 38th anniversary of the 'Miracle on Ice.'

Jocelyne Lamoureux-Morando scored in the sixth round of the shootout, and Maddie Rooney made the game-winning save against Meghan Agosta to clinch the gold medal and win the game 3-2.

2) Oops!...I did it again

Lamoureux-Morando's goal was incredible. She went left on goalie Shannon Szabados, then quickly cut to the right and put it in the back of the net.

After the game, her sister revealed to NBCSN the name of the move Lamoureux-Morando used to win the game. It's called, "Oops!...I did it again."

3) Canada wanted nothing to do with silver

Canada had to watch as the U.S. celebrated its first gold medal in 20 years. They aren't supposed to leave during the celebration because they receive their silver medals soon after the game.

Jocelyne Larocque wanted nothing to do with her silver medal.

As soon as it was placed around her neck, Larocque took it off and just held it.

4) Americans go 1-2 in halfpipe final

David Wise threw down a dominant run when he needed it, defending his Olympic gold medal as the Americans went 1-2 in the freestyle skiing halfpipe final.

Wise scored a 97.20 on his final run to win gold and teammate Alex Ferreira claimed silver. Nico Porteous of New Zealand won bronze.

5) Shiffrin gets back on the podium

After finishing a couple seconds behind Lindsey Vonn in the downhill, Mikaela Shiffrin dominated in the slalom of the super combined to finish with a total time of 2:21.07 and win the silver medal.

Vonn led after the downhill, but fell off the podium after the slalom. Switzerland's Michelle Gisin won gold, and her teammate Wendy Holdener won bronze.

It's a great ending for Shiffrin who battled nerves and numerous delays throughout the Games. She leaves PyeongChang with a gold (giant slalom) and silver medal.
