A squirrel in PyeongChang nearly was sliced by a snowboarder during the parallel slalom competition after it ran out onto the course.
The squirrel appeared out of nowhere. The snowboarder didn't react much, but the squirrel did. It almost looked like the squirrel dove underneath the board then quickly turned around. If it hadn't, it may have been roadkill, or slopekill. Not really sure the correct term to use there.
No big deal for the snowboarder. She just kept on racing and won the round.
No word on the condition of the squirrel. But it was able to run away under its own power, so it should be fine.
