ATLANTA -- New schedules reveal that Atlanta United will still be the first team to take the field for regular season games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta's new major league soccer team will go up against FC Dallas on the same day the Falcons start their season in Chicago against the Bears - though the Falcons will have preseason matchups at on the new field beforehand.

Atlanta United rescheduled three of its games to the end of the Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season to be played at the new stadium.

“We are very pleased to have the final dates on our schedule confirmed,” said Atlanta United president Darren Eales. “We are eager to move into Mercedes-Benz Stadium and look forward to welcoming FC Dallas on Sept. 10 for the first-ever match in our new home.”

The first, against Dallas, will be Sept. 10 and nationally televised on Fox Sports 1. It was originally scheduled for the previous day. The next game on Sept. 20 will pit Atlanta United against LA Galaxy - a game originally planned for Aug. 18 and shown on ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes.

The final of the rescheduled games will be played against fellow expansion team Minnesota United on Oct. 3 and shown on Fox Sports Regional. It was originally planned for Aug. 13.

Atlanta United is currently ranked at eighth in the Eastern Conference with three wins, three draws and four losses.
