SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - All lanes have reopened on Roswell Road after a water main break snarled traffic in the area for days.
The Atlanta Watershed announced the water main break located under Roswell Road between Northridge Parkway and Hightower Trail was fixed and water service was restored to the area early Thursday morning.
On Thursday, crews used an additional lane, resulting in one lane northbound and one lane southbound for travel on Roswell Road. A second northbound lane opened at 2 p.m. to accommodate the afternoon rush hour.
Prior to repairs, crews excavated the area to ensure all unsound areas are removed prior to reconstruction.
Watershed Management has completed the repairs and water service has been restored at 8350 Roswell Road NE. Thank you for your patience.— Atlanta Watershed (@ATLWatershed) May 4, 2017
