DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Another person has been hit while attempting to cross a major Atlanta interstate. The latest was this morning.
Early Tuesday, a woman crossed over a grassy median and went through a hole in the fence to attempt to cross I-85 north, according to a DeKalb County police spokesperson. That is when she was hit by a car.
Police said the woman was transported to an area hospital and suffered injuries that were not life threatening. There is no word on why she was attempting to cross and police said it is too early to determine if any charges will be brought against her. Police are also not clear how many vehicles were involved.
This is the fifth person to be hit on an interstate in two weeks.
